Nigerian popular musician, Davido, has taken to Twitter to announce that his fiancee Chioma has tested positive for coronavirus.
The singer posted Friday on his verified Twitter account saying the mother of his child tested positive despite not showing any symptoms.
” Hey everyone ! I came back recently from America after canceling the tour. My fiancé Chioma also came back from London recently with our baby. We had no symptoms and still both feel perfectly fine but because of our recent travel history we decided to take ourselves and our all.” Davido Tweeted.
“Close associates we’ve come in recent contact with for the COVID-19 test on the 25th of March. Unfortunately, my fiancé’s results came back positive while all 31 others tested have come back negative including our baby. We are however doing perfectly fine and she is even still… ” He added.
Chioma has since been quarantined and will remain quarantined for a minimum of 14 days.
Davido has also begun self-isolation following his fiancee’s coronavirus status.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 election, Atiku Abubakar, has announced that his son tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). He made his known via his verified Twitter handle on Sunday. “My son has tested positive for coronavirus,” he tweeted. According to the former Vice-President of Nigeria, his son has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment. “The @NCDCGov (Nigeria Centre for Disease Control) has been duly informed, and he has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management.
